

To become a qualified (Grade 1) ROV Technician you will need to undergo a IMCA approved training course.

These companies may pay for your course but you will need to work for them for a minimum 1 year
Rates for Pilot tech with a good background will be around £220 a day to start
Rates for Submersible Engineer will be around £280
Rates for Supervisors will be around £320
This can be day rate or half on contract split o ver 12 month and half as day rate.
contracts are normally either 120 ,156 or 180 days.
As someone who knows in my opinion its better to study and do the exams and competencies, that way your not reliant on any company or body. Rates go up to around £380 a day for offshore project Supervisor, and £480 if you go down the cswip 3.4 U road but that's data recording
